The sculptor and large-scale project-artist is one of the most important contemporary artists in Germany. Many of his works and installations are based in a serial concept a larger formal principal that connects his individual pieces as well as his body of work as a whole. Through his work, his examination of social and political topics, the artist aims to create a process of communication and again and again manages to bring forth a controversial discussion of the question “What is contemporary art?”.
